What did you learn in Kindergarten? Sharing.
Ah those old lessons still apply. One way to save at least half is to go in with another person on something. We share a lot of things that help us trim our bills. We share our garbage service with our neighbors. We also share a driveway with them so we share snow removal too. We also share our house with roommates. Those things can add up so sharing really helps trim the bill. But some more fun ways of sharing are sharing a meal. Invite friends over and have them either bring a dish or beverage. It can be more relaxing than going out and a lot less expensive. Don't forget to share in the clean up too. Or swap nights out. One night you fix the meal and the next your friends do. And of course, you get to share in each others company and that is a reward in itself.

Calling all Chocoholics, Organic chocolate on sale at Amazon
Amazon has organic chocolate on sale. Had to share. You end up buying in bulk but then if you're a chocoholic that is right up your alley. Also on a lot of these items shipping is free if you spend $25.00 or more.

100% Cashmere on sale for $14.99? What a deal
Yes! Kmart.com has their Jaclyn Smith cashmere sweaters on clearance for only $14.99 (with tax and shipping it comes to just under $23.00, but still a bargain.) They only have limited sizes available so you may not be able to find your size in a color you like but what a great opportunity to buy as a gift. They are two ply 100% cashmere made in China. I ordered one in large (I usually buy sweaters in medium) and it is roomy but not ungainly. So indulge yourself or someone you love.

Cut the Cable and cut the cost
Well I might not be ready to totally get rid of the cable but we have the cheapest basic cable available. With the internet out there you don't have to have a million channels. I watch my favorite programs online. If you're a Comcast high speed internet customer you can access premium channels like HBO and Cinemax shows for free on Fancast. If you don't have a Comcast account you can watch loads of programs on Hulu or through the individual network's website, for example, the Lifetime network. You can also watch on your schedule not theirs. The other nice thing about watching online is the commercial interruption is, at most, in 30 second spots instead of 5 minute intervals. Plus you can pause and resume like a video. And as much as we think we can resist all the advertising at least some of it sinks into the brain making you buy things you might not otherwise. There is a reason companies spend so much money advertising. So cut the cable and watch online or as my mother used to say, just go outside and play.

Haven't done your taxes yet? Get 35% off on Turbo Tax online
Easter is filled with eggs and hope and new beginnings. Turbo Tax can help you increase your nest egg and hopefully get you started on a new tax program for next year to save you more money. I have to admit I'm a procrastinator and haven't finished my taxes yet. But the good news is you can get 35% off of the online version of Turbo Tax by accessing the Turbo Tax web site through the T. Rowe Price website. You don't have to be a T. Rowe Price customer it is open to everyone. I like Turbo Tax because it is user friendly and has little programs to help you figure out ways to keep more money in your pocket (last year I ran one of their programs that suggested I put more in my 401K and I wouldn't see a difference in my take home. I more than doubled my contribution and haven't seen a difference in take home.) So stop putting it off and start today. You only have 11 more days. Oh, and have a Happy Easter

And then there was light, be ready in an emergency to crank out the light
So there you are in the dark (it always seems to be dark and stormy when you break down) and you're on the side of the road with a flat tire or some other not fun situation and you can't see a thing. You open the glove compartment and pull out the flashlight and nothing. The batteries are dead and you can't even remember when you checked them last. I mean who thinks about the flashlight in the glove compartment until you need it. But you never have to worry about that again if you have one of the hand crank 3 led light flashlight in the glove compartment. All you do is wind it up for about 60 seconds and turn it on. It always works. And it puts out a surprising amount of light. Safety first. Plus you don't have a bunch of dead batteries you have to throw in the landfill. Shop 4 Tech is offering the hand crank flashlight for the low price of $8.95 and free shipping.

Save up to 50% on entertainment and dining with Groupon
Happy April Fools. But this is no joke. Ever heard of Groupon? It is an online "coupon" that doesn't get activated until a certain number of people buy into it. They have networks set up in a bunch of different cities around the U.S. and some in foreign countries. From Albuquerque to Vancouver. After you sign up you get an email Monday-Friday with a different offer. You follow the link and buy your certificate which you then print out and present to the vendor. We bought 90 minute massages for $50.00 each. They were awesome. Each deal has its own "fine print" which is plainly laid out on the web site. It costs you nothing to sign up. You only pay when you find a deal that you'd like to participate in. So go sign up and start getting some great deals.
