Signing up for emails can get you discounts

There are lots of benefits to signing up for email notices from some of your favorite retailers.  But there is the con of having your email box overflowing with junk.  But you can always set up an email account with yahoo, gmail or hotmail that is dedicated to junk.  You can check it when you have time and just delete everything when you don't have time to deal with it.  At Basegear (an outdoor gear shop) you can get 20% off retail when you sign up.  I have continued to get 20% off everything I order from them unless it is already on sale.  They offer free shipping on orders of $50.00 or more
